Small meets fine: the LLEYN sleeve protects the iPad mini
Things are about to get cosy for Apple's smallest iPad. Soft yet robust wool felt, made specially for Pack & Smooch, is the base for the LLEYN sleeve. The tailored case turns out to be a space wonder: the Apple Pencil is kept in a loop, and a flat stitched-on accessory pocket takes small items. A magnetic button holds the iPad mini securely and lets it out easily. A patch of vegetable-tanned leather adds a measure of Italian elegance.
Comfort zone wool felt
Plain design, traditional craft and natural materials are the hallmarks of Pack & Smooch. Since 2019 the workshop has made its accessories from a wool felt blend developed for us alone.
„Demand for high-quality wool felt has risen enormously in recent years. But the quality in density, feel and colour often cannot keep up", explains managing director Matthias Burkert. „It was a laborious process. Only after a number of test blends did we find a quality that met our standards."
The wool used is particularly soft and noticeably more expensive than standard grades. The result is a soft, hard-wearing material that resists dirt. Small variations in feel and thickness underline its natural origin: every piece is one of a kind.
