Leather Laptop Accessories & Felt Cable Bags
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, into both. Into the CORRIEDALE XS together with the plug attached, and into the LONGFORD as well, where there is also room for a mouse and an adapter. That is exactly what these bags are for: no power adapter fits into the front pocket of a sleeve, on any of our models. If one did, the sleeve would become so bulky at the front that it would no longer go into a laptop compartment.
The LONGFORD measures 24 × 14 × 5 cm, the CORRIEDALE XS 24,6 × 14,5 × 3,5 cm. So the CORRIEDALE XS is slightly longer, while the LONGFORD is deeper.
On most cables you can thread the leather strap through and leave it there permanently. It stays on the cable, does not disappear into a drawer and is there when you want to roll the cable up. That is exactly where loose straps fail. It closes with snap buttons by YKK.
Wipe the leather dry, and use a leather balm sparingly if needed. After rain, dab it with a dry cloth, do not rub, and let it dry in the air, not on a radiator. Shake out or brush the wool felt, do not wash it.
Three pieces: the CORRIEDALE XS cable bag in Merino wool felt with leather side panels for 74 €, the LONGFORD cable bag in leather for 99 €, and the cable organizer set in leather, four pieces for 44 €. There is nothing more here, and all of it is made in Hamburg.
The LONGFORD is leather on the outside, closes with a zip and has a narrow leather pocket on the side for SD cards. The CORRIEDALE XS is Merino wool felt on the outside with leather side panels, closes with flat magnetic buttons and stays flatter. Both have three compartments made from a single layer of felt.
Because a cable bag is never packed the same way twice. Sewn-in single compartments fit exactly one arrangement, and if the power adapter does not fit into the one meant for it, it lies loose on top. Our three compartments are made from one piece of Merino wool felt, give way to a wide power adapter and lay themselves around a thin cable.
Full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather from family-run tanneries in Italy. The hide arrives just under 2 mm thick. The Merino wool felt is made of 100 % virgin wool and is 3 mm thick, and it is not synthetic needle felt.

Laptop and tablet accessories in leather – handmade in Germany since 2011
The right sleeve deserves the right accessories. Our cable bags and cable organizers in vegetable-tanned leather and Merino wool felt are matched to the same materials as the HAMPSHIRE, ANGUS and CORRIEDALE sleeves. No generic plastic accessories, but pieces that are handmade, long-lasting and made to go together.
Our laptop and tablet accessories at a glance
- CORRIEDALE XS cable bag – a compact organizer in Merino wool felt and leather. It matches the HAMPSHIRE Surface Pro sleeve, and holds a charging cable, headphones and an adapter.
- LONGFORD cable bag – a roomy cable bag in vegetable-tanned leather in the style of the ANGUS sleeve. For a charging cable, a mouse and larger accessories.
- Cable organizer set – a set of four in vegetable-tanned leather. It keeps a cable rolled up without kinking or tangling it.
Three pieces, and no more than that. This collection is deliberately small, because it answers a single question: where to put the things that travel next to the device. Everything else for the desk is under Desk and office, and everything else in leather under Leather accessories.
A cable bag in leather or in wool felt: the comparison
The two cable bags do not differ in quality but in the material and in what they are meant to hold. The organizer set is not a bag at all, but the answer for loose cables that already lie in one.
| Product | Material | For which device | Right for you if | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CORRIEDALE XS | Merino wool felt, 3 mm, with leather on the flap | accessories for an iPad, a Surface and a MacBook | you want a soft, compact bag that is not bulky in a backpack | 74 € |
| LONGFORD | vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, just under 2 mm | accessories for a laptop and a tablet, three compartments | you carry more than one cable and want it sorted | 99 € |
| Cable organizer set | vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, YKK snap buttons | cables of every kind, four pieces in the set | your cables tangle but do not need a bag of their own | 44 € |
Both cable bags come in two colour combinations. On the CORRIEDALE XS the first part describes the wool felt, the second the leather.
Who these leather laptop accessories are made for
People rarely buy accessories out of enthusiasm. They buy them because something is annoying. Here are four sentences, and if one of them is true for you, you are in the right place:
- Your power adapter scrapes the housing. When a laptop and a charger lie loose in the same compartment, plugs meet aluminium. A separate bag keeps them apart.
- You search every time. An adapter, a stick, headphones, a charging cable: in one large backpack pocket everything sinks to the bottom. In a flat bag it stays in one place.
- You switch between two bags. If you take a backpack in the morning and a shoulder bag in the afternoon, you move one pouch instead of ten single items.
- Your cables unroll themselves. That is what the organizer set is for: four leather straps with a snap button that keep a cable in shape.
And just as honestly: if you only carry a single USB-C cable anyway, you do not need a cable bag. Then the organizer set for 44 € is enough.
What fits into the cable bags in leather and felt
This is where too much is often promised. So here it is, one by one.
The CORRIEDALE XS
One main compartment in Merino wool felt that opens wide. Inside go a charging cable, headphones, an adapter, a stick. The felt is 3 mm thick and lays itself around what is inside instead of forcing it into a fixed shape. This is why the bag is only as bulky as its contents. It is the small sister of the CORRIEDALE laptop bag and is made from the same material.
The LONGFORD
Three compartments in vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, side by side. That is the difference: instead of tipping everything into one space, each group gets its own compartment. A power adapter and a thick cable in one, small adapters and sticks in another, a mouse or headphones in the third. If you commute regularly between an office and a home office, this saves you the daily sorting.
The cable organizer set
Four straps in the same leather as our sleeves, each with a YKK snap button. They hold a rolled-up cable together without kinking it. It sounds like a small thing, and it is the reason why a charging cable still has no broken wire at the plug after two years.
The material: vegetable-tanned cowhide leather and Merino wool felt
The leather is full-grain cowhide from family-run tanneries in Tuscany, vegetable-tanned and just under 2 mm thick. It arrives as a whole hide, and we bring it down to the thickness each part needs. For a cable strap that is thinner than for the wall of a bag.
Natural leather means that pores, fine veins and small scars stay visible, and that the colour deepens over the years. A leather cable bag that goes into a backpack every day looks different after two years than on the first day, and that is intended.
The Merino wool felt is made of 100 % Merino virgin wool, mulesing-free, and is 3 mm thick. It absorbs knocks instead of passing them on, and it does not scratch whatever lies next to it. Synthetic needle felt cannot do this, because it lacks the density.
How we split, skive and emboss the hides is described in detail on the page Leather sleeves for iPad and MacBook.
Accessories that match the rest of the collection
Pack & Smooch products are matched to each other in material, colour and finish. CORRIEDALE XS and HAMPSHIRE form one set, LONGFORD and ANGUS another. People who start building a collection rarely stop. Handmade in Germany since 2011.
In practice this means the colour combinations are the same. If you have a Surface or laptop sleeve in dark grey and dark brown, you get the cable bag in exactly that tone, from the same hide and the same roll of felt. With bought-in accessories that would not be possible.
Caring for cable bags in leather and wool felt
- Leather in daily use: wipe it with a dry, soft cloth. Usually nothing more is needed. Use a leather balm sparingly if required.
- Wool felt: shake it out, brush it or use the upholstery nozzle of a vacuum cleaner. Do not wash it.
- After rain: dab it first, do not rub. Then let it dry at room temperature, not on a radiator.
- Stains on leather: do not rub hard. Moisture and grease change the colour at first, and much of it evens out over time.
- Snap buttons: keep them dry. The YKK buttons on the organizer set need no care, but they do not like moisture either.
Every piece of leather laptop accessory is made in Hamburg
Cutting, sewing, embossing, hardware and final inspection all happen in our own workshop in Hamburg, and have done since 2011, with long-standing partners for single steps.
This is why we can say which layer of the hide was used, how it was tanned and where it comes from. And this is why the cable bag has the same colour tone as the sleeve it belongs to.
