Easy to spot. Discreetly labelled.
The inner flap covers your contact details, while the distinctive leather makes your suitcase easy to recognise on the carousel. Nothing readable from the outside, no address on display — and your bag still finds its way back to you if it goes missing.
Every tag is made from vegetable-tanned leather in our Hamburg workshop. The leather is uncoated: it develops its own patina over the years and tends to look better with travel, not worse. The strap with its aluminium buckle adjusts to any suitcase handle — including wide trolley bars and luggage loops.

Frequently asked questions about the leather luggage tag
Are the contact details visible from the outside?
No. The details sit under a leather flap and cannot be read from the outside. Anyone who wants to identify the bag has to lift the flap deliberately — a glance in passing at the baggage carousel is not enough.
That is the difference to tags with an open window, where name and address can be read by anyone standing next to your suitcase.
What should you put on a luggage tag — and what is better left off?
Your name, mobile number and email address are enough. That lets a finder or the airline reach you. Your full home address does not belong on it: it signals that the flat is currently empty, and it is not needed to return the bag.
If you travel often, add the address of your destination or hotel instead — in case of loss that is far more useful than your front door.
Does the tag fit any suitcase?
Yes. The strap with its aluminium buckle adjusts continuously and fits narrow handles as well as wide trolley bars and luggage loops. There is no fixed loop that only works with certain handles.
Why is vegetable-tanned leather a good choice for a luggage tag?
Vegetable-tanned leather is firmer and holds its shape better than chrome-tanned leather, and it copes better with the pulling, rubbing and moisture of travel. It is uncoated, so it develops its own patina over time and looks different after five years than on day one — used, not worn out.
Our leather comes from Tuscany, from a tannery working the traditional vegetable process.
Can the leather tag be used as an address tag?
Yes. There is room for your contact details under the covering leather flap, so your luggage can be identified without the information being on show. No printed insert card is included — a standard business card fits perfectly.
