ANGUS and HAMPSHIRE cover the Surface Pro 11, 10, 9, 8, 7 and 6. Both are cut for the device with the Type Cover attached, so the keyboard can stay on.
The ANGUS is leather outside and Merino wool felt inside. It protects best, because the leather takes the knock from outside and the felt absorbs what comes through. The HAMPSHIRE is made of Merino wool felt with a leather application, stays flatter, closes with ultra-flat magnets and is the only one with a holder for the Surface Pen.
No, and it fits into none of our front pockets. They are cut flat on purpose, because otherwise the sleeve would become so bulky that it no longer goes into a laptop compartment. What belongs in there is flat: a charging cable, an adapter, cards, a thin notepad. In the CORRIEDALE the power adapter travels in the main compartment, next to the device. For a sleeve there are separate bags: the CORRIEDALE XS in wool felt and the LONGFORD in leather.
ANGUS and HAMPSHIRE are cut for the footprint of the Surface Pro. For other notebooks the CORRIEDALE is the right way, because it is chosen by inside dimension and not by manufacturer. If you are not sure, send us the outside dimensions of your device and we will tell you which size fits.
Wipe the leather dry, and use a leather balm sparingly if needed. After rain, dab it with a dry cloth, do not rub, and let it dry in the air, not on a radiator. Shake out or brush the wool felt, do not wash it.
Three models: the ANGUS in leather for 175 €, the HAMPSHIRE in Merino wool felt for 74 €, and the CORRIEDALE, the bag for two devices, from 169 €. All three are made in Hamburg, Germany.
One. The Surface ANGUS closes its main compartment with one matte silver zip in YKK quality, and it also has a front pocket on the outside. Only the MacBook version of the ANGUS has two zips, where the front pocket is secured as well. If you compare the two pages, please do not mix them up.
Into the HAMPSHIRE. It has a sewn-on leather patch with a rubber loop, and the pen slides into it. The pen travels in a fixed place instead of coming loose when you slide the device in and then lying around in your backpack. The ANGUS has no pen holder.
Then take the CORRIEDALE. It is the bag with storage space, in three sizes from 11 to 16 inch, with a magnetic closure, a front pocket, three inner pockets and a pen holder. A sleeve holds the device and nothing else, a bag holds the device and everything that travels with it.
Full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather from family-run tanneries in Tuscany. The hide arrives just under 2 mm thick. The Merino wool felt is made of 100 % virgin wool, is mulesing-free and 3 mm thick. It is not synthetic needle felt.

This collection holds exactly three products, and the three stand for three different answers: the Surface Pro sleeve ANGUS in full leather, the Surface Pro sleeve HAMPSHIRE in Merino wool felt with a leather patch, and the CORRIEDALE, a bag for a laptop, an iPad and accessories in one. Everything below describes exactly these three.

Which leather sleeve suits which device?
The three models do not differ in ambition but in the way they are built. A sleeve holds the device and nothing else. A bag holds the device and everything that travels with it. That is the line along which you decide.

Of the three models the ANGUS protects best. That is not because of the price but because of the build: full leather outside, wool felt inside, so two layers of material instead of one.
The Surface Pro sleeve in leather: ANGUS
The ANGUS is our only model with full leather on the outside. Vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, just under 2 mm thick, fully lined with Merino wool felt inside. This combination is the reason why it protects better than the pure felt models: the leather takes the knock, and the felt absorbs what comes through.
It closes with one matte silver YKK zip, guided so that it glides above the device without touching it when you open and close the sleeve. There is also a built-in front pocket for a cable, a card or a pen. A power adapter does not belong in there, because the pocket is not made for it – that is what our cable bags are for. It is available in light brown and dark brown, to match the Surface Pro.
When the ANGUS is the right one
When your device travels without an extra backpack, when it is put down often, and when you choose leather on purpose. And when you do not mind that it weighs more than a felt sleeve. It is the heaviest of the three, because it has the thickest layer of material.
The Surface sleeve in wool felt with leather: HAMPSHIRE
The HAMPSHIRE is the slim answer. 3 mm Merino wool felt, a leather patch, a magnetic closure, a front pocket. Nothing more, and that is exactly the point: it is barely bulky, so it still fits into a backpack that already holds something else. It is a close-fitting sleeve, and the device only fits without an additional protective case.
The wool felt is made of 100 % Merino virgin wool, mulesing-free. It absorbs knocks instead of passing them on, takes up moisture without feeling wet, and does not scratch the housing. Synthetic needle felt cannot do this, because it lacks the density. On the leather patch there is a rubber loop that serves as a Surface Pen holder.
The magnetic closure is a deliberate decision: a zip runs exactly along the line where the display sits. Magnets hold from the surface and open with one hand. On the HAMPSHIRE this is the right way, and on the ANGUS the zip is, because it should close all the way around.
The bag for a laptop and accessories: CORRIEDALE
The CORRIEDALE is not a sleeve but a bag. Merino wool felt with leather side panels, magnetic buttons, a front pocket, three inner pockets and a pen holder. It comes in three sizes, and the inside dimensions decide, not the inch number:

The laptop lies in the main compartment, and a second flat device or a notebook fits next to it. A loose felt layer comes with the bag, and you place it in between so that the two do not touch. The power adapter also has its place here, next to the device, and not in the front pocket.
If in doubt, take the larger size. The felt gives a little and fills up air. Too tight, on the other hand, stays too tight, especially when a cover or a keyboard stays on the device.

Caring for sleeves in leather and wool felt
- Leather in daily use: wipe it with a dry, soft cloth. Usually nothing more is needed. Use a leather balm sparingly if required.
- Wool felt: shake it out, brush it or use the upholstery nozzle of a vacuum cleaner. Do not wash it.
- After rain: dab it first, do not rub. Then let it dry at room temperature, not on a radiator.
- The zip: brush it out from time to time. The YKK zip of the ANGUS needs no grease.
- Sunlight: long one-sided sunlight makes leather darken unevenly.

This is why we can say which layer of the hide was used, how it was tanned and where it comes from. And this is why there are three clearly separated models instead of one universal sleeve that everything fits into more or less.
