YKK ZIP ALL THE WAY AROUND
The zip runs once around the whole bag, so it opens flat instead of through a gap. Inside sits 3 mm Merino wool felt, outside a good 2 mm of vegetable-tanned cowhide.
Between your power adapter and the MacBook next to it there are two soft layers. No metal against aluminium, no plugs pressing through the fabric.
Two materials that age together.
LEATHER AND WOOL FELT
The leather is vegetable-tanned in Tuscany, in small family-run tanneries. The Merino wool felt is mulesing-free. Cutting and sewing happen in Hamburg, since 2011.
Leather does not get better because you spare it, but because you use it. After a few months your LONGFORD looks different from every other one. It comes in light brown and in dark brown.
