Materials: merino wool felt and vegetable-tanned leather
The LLEYN is made from two materials that together strike a balance between protection and looks:
- Merino wool felt is soft, durable and shock-absorbing. It protects your iPad mini from scratches and knocks and feels good in the hand. The felt insulates and breathes.
- Vegetable-tanned leather forms the contrasting patch. The tanning is chrome-free, the leather is robust and develops its own patina over time, which makes every sleeve unmistakable.
Design: slim, not bulky
The sleeve sits close to the device and barely adds bulk. Your iPad mini fits with its Smart Folio attached, so you do not have to take the cover off to stow it. Ultra-flat magnetic closures keep it shut without adding thickness.
A holder for the Apple Pencil
A leather holder sits on the outside for the Apple Pencil. It can also be tucked under the front pocket, so the pen disappears when you want it to and stays within reach.
Protection at minimal weight
The dense merino wool felt works as natural padding and absorbs knocks instead of passing them on. The leather reinforces the edges. Together that gives solid protection at low weight, which matters for an iPad mini you carry all day.
Sustainability
Like everything we make, the LLEYN is produced by hand in small runs. The leather is vegetable-tanned in Tuscany and free of chrome. The merino wool felt is mulesing-free.
