With the fine blend of merino wool felt and natural leather, Moira desk mat now brings a feel-good atmosphere into the office.
Hamburg, November 2019 - This accessory offers more than a stylish place for keyboard, mouse and your hand. With Moira, Pack & Smooch presents a contemporary reinterpretation of a proven office classic. "With their pleasant haptics, high-quality natural materials are grounding our digital working world," explains Managing Director Matthias Burkert. Moira is created by fair hand in the company's own workshop. Pack & Smooch uses a specially developed blend of extra-soft merino wool. The sewn-on mousepad is made of Italian, purely vegetable-tanned natural leather. The elegant desk pad is available in two colours: light grey with light brown leather and anthracite with dark brown leather.
Jack of all trades: wool felt
The Merino wool felt blend developed for all Pack & Smooch products is of a higher quality than commercial felt, it is particularly soft and at the same time very strong. It is also durable, not susceptible to dirt and easy to clean. Felt is one of the oldest materials in the world and at the same time an exciting partner for modern offices: It not only feels cuddly, but is also antistatic. In winter the natural material warms up, in summer it doesn't heat up. Wool felt is also frequently used for sound insulation. Under the keyboard, Moira insulates annoying keyboard rattling and can thus facilitate concentrated work in an open-plan office or coworking space. The base can be folded up easily and is therefore also a practical partner for digital nomads.
Luxury for every working day
The mousepad made of natural leather is integrated directly into the mat. The ball of the thumb rests on the felt pad or leather. Fine quilting seams and the vertical leather logo patch set discreet visual accents. With its puristic design, Moira harmonises with sophisticated computer technology.
